Oooh...sang at a Karaoke Bar with some clients...Hope our 'business relationship' does not suffer after
enduring & listening to my singing voice!!! ~hee* I sang 'Up Side Down' by Miss Diva, Diana Ross! ...my-my-my the alcohol they served helped me to channel my inner DIVA and sing-sing-SING!!! [Thank goodness...No beer bottles were thrown at me during my Miss Ross attempt!]

I would have been one of your Supremes!
ReplyDeleteYour taxi rides seemed to be much more idealic. A co worker has been to China and Taiwan for our company and he said the taxi drivers, drive off the express way, right thru the highway gas stations at high speeds, get back on the express way, just to pass others. Very assertive!
What a fabulous report !
ReplyDeleteI bet your kareoke went down a storm.
So appreciating these postings.
Happy weekend !
(what I'm doing this weekend pales into insignificance.)
it's such a beautiful place!

ReplyDeleteoh how I envy you....it has been too long since my last visit!
ReplyDeleteHello Beautiful! Oh, you are having way more fun than I am. That 'ghostly' restaurant is interesting, Save me a seat will you. I don't think I have had a taxi ride even close, not even in my European ones. I'm thrilled you are having such wonderful time! Keep on enjoying your trip!

It's too bad that you didn't wind up getting the 'Cash Cab'... if you had, they would've probably wound up paying YOU, instead of the other way around!
ReplyDeleteYou DO know about that game show, right? It's the one where the cab driver asks his passengers trivia questions along the way to their destination, and they get money for every correct answer. I'm pretty sure that it only takes place on the streets of New York, though.
You really are pretty fearless, the way you conjured up your inner-diva and sang like that in front of your clients! Either that, or it was just "liquid courage"...
I love all of the bright, happy colors that you're seeing everywhere there! It's almost like you're on the set of an old Technicolor movie. Please, keep taking pictures!
Those taxis sound SO amazing, loving the TV screens lol. And yum the food looks so good. I absolutely love that last photograph of all the bags! Hope you're feeling better and having a beautiful weekend dear :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun over there! I'd love to someday get to the far east. For now as close as I'll get is by reading Lao Tzu, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. With a name like yours you must be a fan of Poe?
Looks like so much fun!!! Love the photos ~~~

ReplyDeletevery true about lots of fun and color in the japan right now- i always catch my self loving/complimenting my japanese friends at school for their outfits, and, of course, they never fail to respond with something like, "it's from japan." (: i don't mind. their youth culture is so interesting and just makes me want to visit all the more!! hope you're having a good time. it looks liek you are (:

ReplyDeleteI looove these photos!!! Its fun to see everything in your perspective!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! You are so funny--karaoke in Japan with business relations? Now I know I'm not in Kansas anymore. You would have to pump me full of a very lot of sake to do that. You're brave, and I'm thoroughly enjoying your posts from Japan. I did a report on Japan in 4th grade and have been fascinated since. :)
