PainT-ed*Wall

....I'm having house painters coming tomorrow. Yup~finally decided to have my narrow hallway painted...it's been a dull off-white for wayyy too long~time for a change! The colorful walls shown here are quite brilliant, but I'm still not that BOLD enough...errr instead I've chosen a more subtle "palm breeze-no.420E-2" by Behr Paint...such a charming tropical name no?! It's hard to describe this grayish-bluish-green color. Simply have to take photos when it's finally done, promise to share okie* By the way, what's the color on your wall? {once again, I'm very nosy like that!)~XOXO*

  4. Well, we are thinking some of the same thoughts - I'm thinking about painting something in my house. I am thinking about a dark teal color for my bathroom (it's small, and that's all I have the energy to do right now.)

My walls are a boring white. :( This has to change!!! I need color in my life!!!

Take photos and share. I know whatever you do will be BEAUTIFUL!!!

  6. I'm just drooling. I adore color on walls. I've painted rooms Lemondrop Yellow, Key Lime Pie green, Sage green, Toasted Marshmallow beige, Tiffany blue, Teal...I try to do something a little different every time I move. Nothing makes a place feel like home for me as some bright colors on the walls.
    Have fun with the painting!

  7. Ha ! I found it ! (only took a minute) Palm Breeze - so restful.
I did like picture one here,
but one would probably tire of that colour quite quickly.
    Happy Friday LNM x

i have a bright orange bedroom...wasn`t sure i liked it at first, moved in and it was that color. But I`ve actually grown to quite like it, especially at night with lamps on, its really cozy.
I love that first color purple-ish and I love gray on walls lately.

My walls are made of red bricks alternating with green wallpaper. See, it's like Christmas inside my house all year round. Hahaha!

  14. Pictures are all charming.
Let's see-----I'm looking around the rooms now. I don't say I don't see any walls in my house, but they are not the ones to be painted nicely.

  17. Changes like you're doing can give you a new lease on life. My husband is a professional painter and when he paints or wallpapers an area here at home, it's so uplifting and inspiring.

I love all the colored walls in your post.

  18. can't wait to see photos!
And I am going to use these photos to convince my husband that painting the trim the same color as the walls looks amazing.

  19. I love how much simple color can change a room! Those pics are so pretty. We rent now and our bedroom is a lovely shade of lavender - it's like we're sleeping in the bedroom of a 5-year-old princess! Hehe! Can't wait to see your photos!

P.S. I nominated you for a blog award.

  20. Great photos Lenore, I love color!..Now you have me changing my mind about my studio, it is the only white room in my house, I just can't make up my mind, but I think it needs to stay white. I can't wait to see your newly painted walls. Hope you are having a wonderful evening.

  21. Yay! So exciting! I hope hope you'll show us.
I used to be so afraid of colour but now I love it. Not everywhere of course, haha. I took a risk with our powder room and chose a deep navy then got a crystal light fixture that sparkles/reflects on the walls. It's probably the room people love most in my house, certainly one of my faves.

  22. I love all the color choices. The dark blue and light blue...the red. I'm needing to paint the one long wall in place, too. I actually just added to my to do list. Now, will it actually get done before the end of the year?!

  25. Cool pics! I LOVE still-life shots of colourful, eccentric rooms.

As soon as we own our own place, hubby and I have BIG plans for colourful accent walls! I guess that comes as a natural response to renting lots of places which are all white. :-)

I personally love pioneer red with gold accenting - it's very bohemian.

  38. Love these colorful rooms! Half of my home is neutral, but I have a soothing sliver-y grayish blue in the kitchen and dining (like you hallway color but less green), lavender in the office (which isn't quite working yet because I need some fabulous drapes), and bright parrot green in the master bedroom. Sounds tacky, I know, but it looks great with my Swedish House duvet, dark wood furniture, and artwork.

  39. Looking forward to seeing your new freshly painted hallway!! My walls are white (I rent) but my Mum painted my family home in all sorts of colours like a red dining room and pale green sitting room - you get the idea - it looks really good actually!
