Oh I wish! I one time did this with chopsticks but my sister told me I looked "too Asian." So now I'm too self conscious. But I love the pencil look. Very sexy librarian.
Imagine dining at a fine restaurant, the lights are dim and your dinner is served. You reach for your chopsticks, your voluminous hair tumbles to your shoulders and without batting an eye you daintily utilize your Asian spoon and fork while your companion sighs.
I love this idea of the different styles. A consultant at work needs to look at this, she does a tight ballerina bun then takes two chopsticks and places them in her hair on top of her head in a V. She actually looks like she is Martin the Martion, I don't have the heart to tell her. she must like it, i guess.
thanks for the reminder - a bun held up with chopsticks/pencils etc. was a favorite for a while, before I chopped a bunch off. Now I'm wondering if my hair's long enough again...
That last bun is my fave!

(Don't ask me where that scenario came from....)
My hair is super thick so I can't imagine it would stay up properly- I like it down anyway.
