  1. You're evoking memories again!
As a little girl had a favourite blue cotton summer dress.
(My 'Mommie dearest' gave it away to an underprivileged child in the neighbourhood)
    I was bereft!
I would probably still have it today - I loved it so.
Thanks for the memories anyway - glad your mother is on the mend have a lovely weekend x

  9. Is that first photo your daughter Lenore? She's adorable. Wishing you and your mom a very Happy Mother's day. I love your dresses post. How lovely it was to get a new dress as a little girl! I remember my most favorite one in the whole world had little bells sewn in between the dress and the petticoats (do they still call them that?) I loved hearing myself jingle like Tinkerbell... xo

  12. Adorable!! I was a real tomboy as a child, my sister was the girlie one. Perhaps that's why now I love all these sweet little dresses? Luckily I can buy them for my niece and indulge myself that way... Happy weekend to you!! ♥

  13. What a sweet tribute! And I love those dresses, Dahling! My mommy used to dress me in the most divine clothes as a little girl (let's not talk about what she put me in as a tweenie). I still remember this gorgeous red, white and blue frilly number with white dots and bows. I adored it! I was her little doll.
    What fun to remember.

Thanks, Lala! (That's my new nickname for you. Do you like it? Please say yes, for my fingers are cramped when I type out the full thing.) *kidding*

  19. God bless you and your mother especially on this day. Happpy Mother's day to you and your mother!
And thank you for asking of these icing cookies. Lenorenevermore, I've found some icing cookies at Dean$Delluca here but they are something similar but are made at a Japanese pastory in Tokyo. Yet, they are pretty enough to buy. In fact, I've sent some to my mother. She'll love them. Thanks to your post, I've learned something new.

  28. Oh I used to wear so many adorable dresses when I was little! Kids nowadays don't get dressed up as dolls so much do they?

I was born on my mom's birthday, she likes to grudgingly remind me every so often lol. I think I was the best present ever, don't you think? Haha.
