  2. Truly selfless gifts... thanks for sharing. It's true that sometimes the real essence of Christmas tends to get lost.

I love the different kinds of trees you featured.

  17. I gotta agree with the wee babe on this one. My 15-year old mountain bike that I'd managed to keep alive got stolen out my garage, so I really wouldn't mind one, Santa...

  31. My two gifts are happiness and humility.

I wish everyone could find the thing (or person) that makes their heart sing.

And I hope one of the "silver linings" to this horrible recession is that it gives people more compassion about those less fortunate. As my parents were fond of saying, "But for the grace of God, there go I."

  35. Fabulous post and it rings loud & true. My only additions could be the gift of a smile, and understanding without judgment. The judgment piece is one that I have to keep reminding family members when we expect others to think just like one of us.

That and the iphone. Love ya x

  36. I love Christmas! I don't like to use it as a personal reminder for my transgressions, but I do believe the birth of Christ is the best gift given to us, and that is a great reminder! Great post!!

I hope you have an amazing Christmas!! I'm very grateful for you- one of my favorite bloggers indeed! xxoo
