I think going to Israel and Bethlehem would be so cosmically profound - I think it would be full of unseen things - but you would "feel" them. Fascinating photos Lenore - many thanks for sharing! Hope your Christmas was wonderful! XX's Sam.

Is something going to change Lenore ?
(I'm intrigued by your new header)
Or am I reading too much into it ?
Forgive me - seasonal stress :)

Oh little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by...

Very cool!

I was obsessed with learning everything I could about the Jewish culture when I was in my senior year at high school. I found this website that had web cam updates of the the West Wall (Wailing Wall) in Jerusalem which was quite cool to keep track of. Travelling without moving :-)

Am I the only one that thinks of the St. Mary of Bethlehem Hospital in London, also known as the lunatic asylum Bedlam since around 1402, when they hear the name Bethlehem?

Magical old pics... The second one especially, with the donkey and the shady trees...
