oooh...It's Horrible!
... ~We are experiencing horrible storms in my zip-code and my garage & basement are now flooded! We are expecting 2 more storms heading our way...horrible-horrible-horrible!!! Did I tell you it's horrible??! Thank God our living space is fine & dry... Just to let you know that I'm taking a brief intermission from this Blogsphere...must assess all the damages & major clean-up(sigh*). Please keep me in your prayers so that I won't have a horrible nervous break down~errr-errr??? Should I buy an inflatable boat?.
til' then everyone!
~xoxo* as always
Eek! Good thing you have a basement to take all the water but I'm sure you use it for storage. The best of luck to you!
ReplyDeleteoh Lenore I am so sorry! The rain is just overwhelming, its ridiculous! Everything will be ok. An inflatable boat could be fun though either way ;) I hope your 5 puggies are ok through all of this!!
ReplyDeleteThe rain is crazy! I'm in L.A., and this city is not equipped to handle it! I wish you all the best!!
ReplyDeleteWe are so used to floods in Manila but I didn't think that I will experience this kind of rain in LA.
ReplyDeleteJust don't plug the sockets of all soaked electrical appliances. Let them dry first. The fridge can still be saved if it was soaked too. Just let it dry out. xoxo
Sucks I hope you dry out soon!
ReplyDeleteOh no...you'll be in my thoughts. I lived through a flood once when I was 10 and I don't wish the experience on anyone!
ReplyDeleteYikes!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear it, Lenore... We're also experiencing BIG rain storms here in California, right now. But, thankfully, Tommy and I live in an area that is safe from major flooding.
I sure hope you didn't have any valuable stuff stored away in either your basement or garage. But if you did, and they got damaged, just try to remember that they were only material things and you're lucky the flood didn't take your whole house... I know, easy for me to say! ;)
Good luck with all of the "fun" clean-up. If I lived near you, I would lend a helping hand. Honestly.
Whatever you do, don't float away!

ReplyDeleteOh no Lenore this is terrible and such a pain to deal with. We had this happen over the summer, the fire department had to come and pump out our basement. We lost a lot of workout machines/washing machine..books etc....I hope you are OK and can salvage your things. Thank God You and your babies are safe and that is most important!! {This Too Shall Pass}

ReplyDeleteHere in Andalucia, we've just had in the course of one month the average equivalent amount of rain for a whole year!!
ReplyDeleteFlooding doesn't nearly describe all the resulting chaos! Ugh!! Can heartily sympathize with you there. Good vibes are hurtling through the blogosphere to you from me to you right now!
