Over-The-Top Christmas Decoration

Hello again everyone!
Stumbled upon this spectacle outside Parco Department Store in Tokyo.
errr-errr...& more errr...
kinda had mixed feelings about this 'RED Alert' display somehow...
But I let you be the judge, okie*
~Take a closer look :

" so...what do you think guys? "
It's quite Tim Burton-esque, no?

It's a new brand image from Shiseido, a Japanese cosmetic company.
You can have a site of this new brand series from Shiseido.

Looks so magical. A friend of mine told me that the big object diffuses some sweet smell if you get closer to it. Did you try?
It's a national holiday today. Have a nice day!

Thank you, Photojoy!
did not know that & did not smell anything either...

I don't know what to say! There's more red in that one place than I'm accustomed to seeing. All I can think of after viewing your photos is blood.

I feel faint.

Yeah I was thinking Tim Burton too! Thats crazy and I wouldn't think of it as a christmas decoration, just vibrant and colorful, but its awesome!

I love how it combines all kinds of events - Easter bunnies, Christmas and a bit of Alice in Wonderland. Will you be in Tokyo over Christmas, Lenore? xoxo

I wouldn't want it for my house, but I love this over-the-top theatrical display for a shop!

Haha! Great marketing because everyone goes "what the?" But then they do stop and look. Oh Tokyo... always so smart.

Holy moly. That would just about give me a seizure if I had to look at it for too long. But then again, I guess the holidays are a time for excess!

i'd say it's a bit on the too much side... but that's just my opinion!

Cindy,
you're so well informed!
We were just talking about it here too, one of the most successful Kentucky F.C Christmas campaign since the 70s!

~Thank you everyone!

Yes, Christina bought the house from the Osbournes and i'm thinking this is the kind of Christmas decor she'd like-over the top just like her house:-)

Burton-esque is not really what I think when I see that. It's so crazy and red, I don't know that it'd inspire me, but it'd definitely be way cool to see, haha.

Christina said...

haha, wow this is really something. i think my eyes are burning a little from all the red.
have a very happy holiday!!! xo
