For Lunch Today...

I had the most delicious classic dish, Moules à la Provençal
wooo...fancy name! Otherwise known as steamed mussels in light tomato sauce
with fresh garlic & herbs. Although I soaked the yummy sauce with warm
crusty French bread... I could have easily licked & licked the bowl clean+dry!
I'm pretty sure some of you have been there & done that, right?!
Just too bad my client was sitting across from me...
P.S : I heard mussels are good for the libido!

that is all

  3. Yes, licking the bowl in front of a client - not a good look Lenore.

  12. You witty diva! I would never judge a person for licking their bowl. And good for the libido? I hope your client didn't get any ideas!

  18. Mussels...one of the very few foods I've missed since giving up meat! My favorite way to eat them was with frites!

  19. OMG - I love mussels, and now you make me want to eat them right now (it's breakfast time over here :))

  20. I love Moules too. To make you envy, they are sort of "plat du jour" in this part of the world. There are so many that most of the time is the cheapest food around. And they are so good! Just steamed over a finely chopped onion and white wine base they are wonderful (Moules Marinieres).
I will write about it one of these days.
    You are all welcomed!

  23. Mmmmmmmm..... I made moules et frites a few weeks ago. (Fancy way of saying "sauteed mussels in a garlic cream sauce with fries on the side.") LOVE THEM. If you ever go to LA, try their moules at Masa's on Sunset. The best. :-) You'll be licking the bowl like I was.

  24. LOL! So you snarfed it in front of a client?
Once my dad and a co-worker went to Wendys for lunch and parked in the lot to eat. HIs co-worker pointed out the car next to us, because a girl was snarfing down a bowl of chili like she hadn't eaten in 3 days. Dad looked over and it was my oldest sister. He acted like he didn't know her...
