Old World Romance

Photographed by Julia Hetta for Acne Papers
These portraits remind me of oil paintings by the great old masters.
Absolutely beautiful details...notice the untied shoelace?
(I'm observant like that! *wink*)

Portraiture is my favorite type of art, Lenore Nevermore, along with Impressionist cityscapes. Happy Thursday evening to you, dear friend!

Wow... those are incredible! I really thought they were traditional oil paintings from the late 1800's. They are gorgeous!!

Beautiful post! The photos and the table are rich to look at! The table is something I'd love to work on - no doubt I'd get it mussed up in seconds flat!

Love the old fashioned portraits - and the recycled furniture. Have a lovely weekend, Lenore - Susan x

How beautiful are those painterly images? In this age when everything is so washed out and whispy photography wise, it's always exciting to see deep black in a photo! Also love that door desk...so cool!

Mary Jo,
they look so pure & innocent, yet have a dark quality at the same time, yes?

~Thank you everyone!
