ReplyDeleteI actually remember where I was the day ABBA announced that they were breaking up. I was a little girl in early elementary school. I was at a friend's house. We were outside playing...we came in and turned on the stereo. ABBA was on! We danced and danced, and when the song was finished the DJ said that the group had announced their split that day. Wow....
ReplyDeleteAlso, Lasse Hallstrom, who directed their music videos is one of my all time favorite directors! He directed My Life As A Dog. Have you seen it?? Honestly, it's one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen.

Love Abba! But years later all I can do is chuckle at those white overalls on the SOS cover sleeve. The jumpsuit isn't as tragic as those white overalls. Though I love the boots the ladies are rocking. He me some white boots in grade school =D

ReplyDeleteLady, there aint nothing wrong with being an Abba fan! SOS is one of my faves along with Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight. (Although that's possibly not the title of the song but the chorus!). I love Fernando too and The Winner Takes it all...gee, you know they're all pretty good! Will be interesting to hear the new tune!
