The Fairytale Wedding~

Two people from such diverse backgrounds...
The wedding of Prince William & Kate Middleton is truly a fairytale story...
~Did you see it? I woke up very early today to watch the Royal Wedding LIVE!
~Yep, I'm one of those people!
.
In this day & age, we all still need a little fairytale story, yes?
Today, we've witnessed that fairytales can, and do happen!
.
Million images of the royal wedding are still coming out from London today...
My favorite so far has to be when the newlyweds took a spin in a sport convertible.
The classic Aston Martin, which belongs to Prince Charles, sported 'JU5T WED' licence plate
and the 'L' in the front, stands for 'Learner's permit' ~How charming is that!
Certainly a nice break from all the formality of the day!
.
" Have a LOVE-ly Weekend Everyone! "

It was nice to see a bit of history today. It's actually still playing on the tv here, as I imagine it will be for some time:)

I was going to comment: Look who's driving the convertible!! Then I remembered that the driver is on the right in Europe.

I love everything I've seen regarding the wedding. I agree that we all need a dose of fairy tale occasionally to go with our glass of wine!!

Have a lovely weekend, my dear.

Dear Lenore: Yes, I did awaken early at 6:00 a.m. to see the fairytale Royal Wedding. Quite a pretty picture with the Red and Yellow-gold colours just "popped"! Very beautiful people who just happen to be in love making indelible history!

I was, too. My best friend and I got up at 3am to head to a local Hotel Lobby area to watch it on the big screen whilst having breakfast. :) Beautiful.

I thought the convertible was a great, personal touch to a wedding that was otherwise very orchestrated (in a good way). And, props for getting up, how can you not love pomp and circumstance like that? :)

Lenore I was right there with you darling watching...in awe! It was really very beautiful, both tradional whil being brought up to date with some chic fashion and the touch of the sports car. LOVED THAT! And the hats!!!! We should have gotten together to wear some hats, sipped some tea, and nibbled on krimpets!

Nice pick. Only the British are able to combine perfectly pomp and pop!

Oh "L" I'm one of those too. To sum it all up, it just made my heart sing. Sadly we all need a lift, and a lift it all was. My husband & I cheered at the sight of the Astin Martin with the learners sign on the front and just wed on the back. There is nothing not to love and admire.

Glad you too have a soft-spot for the fairy tale. I hope they have a long life together. Hoping you have a long weekend!! xo xo Debs

The fanfare, including very medieval trumpeters, was quite something to behold!
