~this is "Marie Antoinette à la Rose", one of the most famous portraits of Marie Antoinette;
it was meant to counteract the scandal caused by the 'muslin' dress portrait, by Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun
... Besides reading steamy hot & sleazzzy Jackie Collins novels (ehem, don't judge!), I do enjoy reading other books (& sleazy gossip magazines!!) Over the weekend I was reading a fascinating book, 'Marie Antoinette The Journey' by Antonia Fraser. Thus, inspired me to do this very post. Her history still intrigues me... Anyway, let's watch a little fun Youtube~ shall we?
.

Public execution by guillotine is no fun I tell ya' ~NO FUN!! ouch* + humiliating!
Anywayyyy...
do you think I can be a good history teacher? ~errr-errr???
"Class dismissed darrrlings!"

My dang school district ethernet won't let me watch youtube, so I'll have to come back for that part . . . but guillotines are terrifying. Plus, who cleaned up the head? HORRORS!
I would sit on the very front row of your history class ~ and never miss a day of lectures!

don't forget to bring me an apple!
On second thought; I prefer apple pies~ YUM*
My mom is obsessed with her. She would definitely be someone from history I would love to meet.
Now I want candy ...

and a servant (or two)!
You're cool Lenore.
You just made me want to go rent that flick. I can't believe I haven't seen it yet. And I'm STARVING now too!
Oh I will look up the book too. : )
Haha! I would definitely take your class!
There are lots of books on her and it's interesting to know each has its own way to understand her personality and tragedy. Reading history books is really telling me lots. I love this post. Thanks!
You've motivated me to look her up on the internet. I hate to admit it but I can't remember anything about her except perhaps she was beheaded!!!???? Why, I haven't a clue.
I'm so ill-informed but what can I say. I'm off to get the scoop on the details. TaTa
I would always be on time for your history class!

Well I guess you touched the important points.
