First thought... what an absolutely beautiful colour.
Since you didn't say what type of birdy this is LNM I scooted over to whatbird.com & their wizard (based on location, size & colour) has come up with Purple Martin.
That could be totally wrong of course ... maybe you can you confirm.
The artwork I'm not so enamoured with but it's interesting (just like your blog in fact)
:)

Bongiovanni's art is gorgeous but wouldn't want to take in a show after too much Scotch. Your wee visitor is such a beautiful shade of blue, I'm thinking your pup thinks just the same!
I have to apologize for being such a slacking blogger. I've missed coming bye & I'm sorry for that. Wishing you a good rest of the week my dear. xx

I don't like birds- they freak me out- I am always fighting against pigeons in our yard- so gross.

I do like the dripping art birds though- those are very cool.

Jan,

Ren,
Oi! Did you watch Hitchcock's The Birds as a child?

What a bold visitor you had! I love birds because they can be so quirky and curious.

I really like the artist, too, especially the hummingbird, in the greens and pinks!
