HIP-HOT

.... The orange color is synonymous with Halloween, in this country at least... To some it's quite frightful and others think it’s just simply delightful…. a color that you either love or hate. Bold pumpkin orange always casts a bittersweet autumnal glow… it’s hip & hot… It's not just for Halloween… Wonder why orange; such an attention-grabbing color is shunned by so many? Perhaps it's the use of orange that might be quite 'disturbing'…Halloween reminder? ...I'd like to think more of the famous Hermes box instead...hee!
..
Trivia: Orange is the color of Halloween because it is associated with the fall harvest festival, the Celtics were given credit for this. Jack o' lanterns pumpkin originated in Ireland where people placed candles in hollowed-out turnips to keep away spirits and ghosts. In the U.S, Halloween candy sales average about two billion dollars per year! Halloween is the second most commercially successful holiday; Christmas is number one...

YAY orange!
It is my favorite color, and I love it to bits. I am not particularly fond of the autumn-ish orange though. the light, citrus orange is my favorite shade
I am soo happy that you chose orange to post about!

Speaking of which, those orange tights are to die for...

I actually.. dont own any orange clothes-- because it des remind me of halloween and well-- it can get a little to distracting when worn in the day time.. hehe..

omigosh.. halloween.. we dont really do trick or treating over here.. well, there are some people who do.. and instead of pumpkin we put candles outside our doors not to ward off spirits but to show that we remember them.

cool trivia btw-- ive always been interested in folklore.

Yay orange! Just like Melissa (see above) I'm loving those orange tights. It's always such a pretty and bright colour, I think it gets a bit neglected when it is autumn.

Hola! Thanks for stopping by my blog. BTW I absolutely LOVE yours. Definitely have to visit here. I was so inspired by your use of color. I just ordered some brown ankle boots (Dansko fiona) that I was feeling guilty for and then I saw your browns and I suddenly felt better! :)

Orange is the best part of fall, without orange, candy corn would be only yellow and white.

Love that black dress with orange tights (Luella?)...

I think I want to buy an orange car. Or at the very least, an orange bicycle. I like colors and themes that polarize. You always think about them for a good long time afterward. Which is as it should be.
