They somehow reminded me of Doris Day's old films

...And must also mention my dear late grandmother!

she was a wonderful cook & fabulous hostess. She even made

her own table linens, napkins & place-mats! In a small way,

I took after my grandma's passion for table settings.

...Not too many of us here across the pond, have heard or watched this Euro electro pop group, We Have Band...simply must share this video! The music might be quite 'questionable' for my taste (errr...just my humble opinion), but they have the most creative videos out there today. Their previous video for their single You Came Out is also shot in photo frames (a.k.a stop-motion pictures). The above was directed by Jul&Mat & produced by SoLab. PS: The single came out on March 22 and their debut album WHB is set to release in early April ~WHAT?! it's going to be April in a couple of days?! My-My-My...Time does FLY!!! ~Enjoy this ridiculously FUN + QUIRKY performance everyone!

In the early 1960s, when very little attention was paid to Minimalist and Conceptual Art, the Vogels quietly began purchasing the works of unknown artists. Devoting all of Herb's salary to purchase art they liked, they collected guided by two rules: the piece had to be affordable, and it had to be small enough to fit in their one-bedroom Manhattan apartment. Within these limitations, they proved themselves curatorial visionaries; most of those they supported and befriended went on to become world-renowned artists, including Andy Warhol, Julian Schnabel, Sol LeWitt, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Richard Tuttle, Chuck Close, Robert Mangold, Sylvia Plimack Mangold, Lynda Benglis, Pat Steir, Robert Barry, Lucio Pozzi and Lawrence Weiner. My favorite would be Denmark's Havarti Cheese ~YUM!

Open House Revisited~

...~As promised, these are just some of the many photos I took last weekend;

when my best friend jack & I went to see a few properties in the suburbs...

[Update: he has yet to find the right house to purchase~ picky-picky-picky...dear Jack]

Anyway, I have more photos to share from that day, but I think I better save

them for next time... Must say~ this whole experience was really inspiring to me that I want to

start doing photography series on 'Open Houses'. Always find it interesting to see how people live,

their dwellings, their belongings...and 'if wall could talk' moments!

my-my-my...all the family history+DRAMA must be fascinating...errr intriguing to say the least!

~Reminded me of one of my favorite drama film, 'American Beauty' somehow...

Anyone has seen this movie??? Highly recommended I have to say!
