I was bored to death at the convention

which I had to attend this week!

So I slowly & carefully sneaked out early

...and went(escaped!) to a much happier place!

...while still a little tipsy, I went to Soho for some retail therapy!

(just hope me-boss doesn't read this...errr-errr???)

You know what they say about New York being a shopping paradise...

Well, I saw the most beautiful neck statement piece!

Aren't these chunky Amber baubles gorgeousss?

I made silly remarks to the snobby salesperson,

"Wow...it's very 'Jurassic Park' -the movie !!!"

Suddenly she gave me the dirtiest look!

(woops~ I simply can't be classy sometimes...)

Let's blame it on the cocktails I had earlier, shall we?! ~whahhh*

I still think it's super campy, fabulous & above all, hee-heelarious!!! Plus, the 80's big shoulder-pads alone were really-really something, yes?!

my limousine ride from airport to the hotel:

Anywayyy...

The limo driver, Mr Wong was a very sweet tiny man...

He shared a tiny bit of his life story during our drive to the hotel...

He told me that he immigrated to the U.S with only about

$500 to his name... To make the long story short, he has been working

hard to support his family... I could sense his pride & also spotted

a twinkle in his eye from the reflection in the driver's mirror. Especially

when He said that his son will be graduating soon with a degree in Medicine!

So glad that he shared this with me (cos I'm nosy like that!~hehe*)

But seriously, I was touched, inspired & hopeful...and most importantly,

blessed to be living in this land of opportunity~or I should say opportunitiesss...

Moss Collector...Hello that's me!

Haven't shared my personal photos with all of you

for quite awhile now...I think today is the perfect Day!

Anywayyy...

remember when I mentioned that I wanted to

collect moss in the countryside? Well, here are moments

captured on that weekend-day! ~take a look...

Have you ever climbed a tree?

Well... I was high up there collecting some moss!

The good thing was I did not fall nor break any bones...

[important note: do not wear high heels!!!]

Back on the ground, I gathered more of

nature glorious nature...

[Some of the best things in life are FREE indeed!]

You can see one of my assistants busy sniffing away...

Well, that's Miss Nia, one of my 5 Pugs. I named her 'Nia'

cos' when she was a puppy, she had a hernia ~thus NIA!

errr...it's a simple sweet true story, really!!

It's my own version of a Japanese Zen Garden...

I displayed it by the kitchen window...

& later decided to move it to the dining table~

while sipping a hot cup of green tea...

Must say it's always nice to bring

a little bit of the outdoor - indoor...

This solid Indonesian Teak wood table is

one of my favorite piece in my humble home~

confession time: whenever I'm stressed out, I like to

polish this wood! 'Polishing away' all my problems...

~well it works! I feel so much better afterwards...errr-errr???
